Looks good Matt and fits in with the surroundings nicely. Real stonework is getting to be a lost art in todays market I had a masonry buisness for 28 yrs. we did a lot of natural stone work. You did a nice job.
Jon
thanks all
I did it with no block on the inside .........no veneer work......
took an unorthodox approach by laying the stone faced to a wood frame.....removed the frame each run and cleaned the joints....no stringline...the result.... all the stones and corner stones were almost perfectly 90 degrees and the sides faced to match.... .......the gabel ends were the worst........
my grandfather was a brick mason for 40 years in Memphis TN....did mostly high end homes and decorative work....
he only did one stone home........he said it was a pain in the butt.......he was right.......so he is always in my mind as I work.......
