Youth hunt
« on: November 18, 2010, 12:34:38 PM »
Here's some pics, from our recent youth hunt at Bear Creek H.C. here in La.  We had approx, thirty kids in camp and boy did they have fun.  They were allowed to shoot any deer that they wanted to take, and they managed to kill eighteen deer that weekend.  There were several misses also......anyone that missed was lead to Mr. James camp to tell their story and have the entire back of there shirt cut out.  He then takes their shirt with their name and hangs it in his camp on a post.  He has one heck of a collection from over the years..... ;D  He also made a few necklesses out of empty rifle shells from the misses.. We had hotdogs for them to roast Sat, night, gave them flashlights and hats, and holloween candy.  The biggest deer taken was a 1.5yr old five point, but all were real trophys.......... ;D

My little knothead killed a spike Sat, evening along with his little brother in the stand.  These two helped me build the stand, paint it and put it up.  They also helped clear the shooting lands. Little brother was so tired from running around all day he was asleep when Kade shot the deer.  We had to actually wake him up and tell him.

If your going to play the game, play by the rules.....

Man I wish we had stuff like that out here in Ca. Looks like a blast.
No respect should be given to a man who does not honor his word. He is just an adolescent who's acorns haven't dropped yet.
