Rut be slow here in Pike Co.  I've got 6 hunters here from Ms.  They are seeing small bucks early and late in the day. Hopefully this weekend it will change after the cold front comes thru. They have not seen the BIG RUT yet.!! Just a matter of time.....until shotgun season !!!

That's only a couple hours south & west from me. I would expect it to start popping for you real soon. I went out Saturday, Sunday, yesterday morning, & yesterday evening. Saturday- couple of spikes & forked horns, Sunday morning- same, Sunday evening- couple nice bucks out milling around, Monday morning- spikes, forked horns, & a couple of 2 year olds, Last night- GAME ON!!!

It was just a matter of hours here and things were nuts! On my drive home I had to stop for 7 different bucks standing in the road. We lost count of how many deer we saw.
