A few weeks back my good friends Ed Terefencko, Big Ed T ( Ed's dad ) and Mike Lapp came up to NY for a little fall turkey hunting. A few birds were seen and heard but nothing for the freezer. We had a great dinner with another good friend Terry Day ( yankee) joining us for for dinner a few cold ones and running calls to late till late into the night. Ed and his dad come up to NY to hunt with me in the sprng for the last 5 years but this was the first trip for a fall hunt and the first time for Mike to come up this way. When it was said and done a great hunt was had by all and we taked about our hunt for the spring hunt hoping Mike will make it up next year. The otrher day I'm on the phone with Lou when I notice a box on my dresser. I picked it up and noticed it was from Ed but I knew that I hadn't left any of his calls sitting out and then I saw that the tape wasn't broken. I was a little confused so I started opening the box to find this little gem inside. In a million years I never expected any thing from these guys. To say that I was surprised is an understatement. Inside the box was a Mike Lapp short box made of Canary Wood over Poplar that looks and sounds awesome but on top of that it was signed by Mike,Ed and Big Ed as a memento of our fall 2010 hunt. I can't thank these guys enough for this and THANK YOU again for such a fine gift from 2 of the best in call making and also Big Ed ( I promise no more burnt garlic bread).
