I received this paddle call today from my good friend Chuck Anderson. Chuck knows how much I love the look and sound of wormy Butternut and really went the extra to make this simply outstanding call. I can honestly say this call ranks with the best paddle calls I have ever heard. It will make all the sounds of a wild turkey. I know several members of this forum have calls made by Chuck and you know what I am talking about when I say he makes some of the very best. I have a few calls made by him and certainly hope to get some more in the future. Ole Jane is a good one.

Rickey your obsession for wormy wood is amazing!   That's a lot of character and nice looking box there!

Is there a story behind the Ole Jane?

Porter,

Chuck actually named her Jane. Plain and simple. I think she sounds so good he wanted to keep her for himself, but he had promised her to me. He is making another one like her to keep but told me a call that sounds this good does not happen everyday. I bet he gets Jane 2 sounding awesome before he gets her finished. I wanted him to kill a fall gobbler with Jane but it did not happen. He did send me some pics of a fine gobbler he killed yesterday in NY that had a 11 3/4 inch beard and 1 1/4 spurs. Beautiful bird.

You never know what these callmakers are up too :)  I figured there was a story behind the name!!!  All my named calls have a story for sure  *cheers*
