My NY fall turkey tags are filled! Finished up with a Jake last evening. Ran Jake & Abby (weims) on turkeys mid day, never came across as much as scratchings, never mind a flock. Went for an evening sit on the lease in the town of Solon. Called in a flock of 22 birds. They hung way back, and I shot over their heads to break the flock (too far out for a clean kill). Got a decent break, with one lone jake flying back at me. Bad decision on the birds part.
Deer Archery tags yet to fill. Guiding on a ladies fall turkey hunt next weekend. I'll be running the dogs for anyone who would like to give it a try on fall turkeys.
