Well some of you know I'm up here in Northern MO taking out a first time hunter. Well today we were scouting a new farm for birds. I'd seen them at this farm before and studied the maps and came up with a plan.
I was showing off the deer sign and everything else in the outdoors. Cut corn fields were everywhere and we were walking across one. All of a sudden I hear, there are the turkeys. Looked up and they were hitting the timber. We spun around the timber and setup. I called one in to about 50 yards, but it was so thick in the timber we couldn't even see her

I got her to cutting and yelping very aggressively.
Heard several fly up and we backed out. We are going in early in the morning and hope to hear them.
It was nice to see there reaction and they will be calling me at 5 in the morning to go out!
I hope I can get them on the birds tomorrow. For a first timer out, they did a great job of sitting still and making very small movements when they did move!
