Second Day

In the first day post was the picture of Tim, Marlin and Cutter.  I should have made a new post for the second day.  So here is Jeff McKamey, Marlin and Cutter with Jeff's turkey.  They had an outstanding trip. They will spend some quality time with Marlin before heading home on Friday 10/15/10. That should be a great ride home for them.  Great job guys!

It was probably because of Jeff  *lol*  Jeff did Marlin make you take off your knee pads ?  *peep*

Those two southern boys were just fine in Ohio. I was proud of myself . I did not even comment on the snake boots. I was really happy with the puppy. Jeff and I took her on a two mile hike and she hunted like an old dog. We then went to a different areA and cutter broke a flock of birds on the side of a steep hill. When we called the opposite hill lit up with gobbling, yelping and keeing. Then the wind blew 30 mph and a big storm came which ran us out of the woods. After the storm we saw one hen go into a corn field. We took cutter in and she broke these birds and we were able to call two back and kill them in one hour. Pretty young birds but it was priceless for me and the puppy. They were both shot close and she was able to go to them still flopping. That completed the circle of training I have work on since July 12 when she came here from the byrne's.

I got kinda lengthy with my other post on the first day----words cannot describe what Tim and I experienced.
And yes---those are snake boots !!!! They are on my feet alot more that my knee pads are on !!! ROTFLMBO
I knew we were in for an experience but really had no idea of truely what to expect. I have to say and I am sure Tim agrees that we had a true HONOR to be gifted the opportunity to hunt behind two world class dogs. I cannot say enough about the experience we had watching Marlin and his kids work. We were simply in awe of the whole ordeal.
I told a few people that Marlin better have all his calls tied down when I arrive *lol* as I knew I had to leave with one........ But .....I was so tempted to sneak Cutter into the back seat of my truck while Marlin wasnt watching.  *peep* *lol* ROTFLMBO. Waht a experience and what a trip. Two ole souther rednecks get to see and feel something we neither never would have had the opportunity to see and feel. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts Marlin.
That was one of the top hunts I have ever done in my entire 30+ years of hunting. I will never forget the entire experience. Describing it is beyond words. Its a feeling down deep.
Marlin,,,thank you for the experience. Tim and I will never never forget it. You will never find anyone more appreciative than the two of us for the experience.

Jeff, next time you might want to try it the old fashion way....without dogs.  That is the way a lot of us grew up fall turkey hunting in PA because it was not legal to use them...now it is but not many own a turkey dog.  I sure would have liked to seen that live.  I have seen it on TV and you tube, but not in person.  Glad you guys had the hunt of a life time and an experience that will always be etched in your mind and in pictures.  Congrats to both of ya!
