Last Tuesday was a beautiful afternoon here in Gainesville. Left work and arrived at our club. Changed into my hunting clothes and headed to my stand. After securing my safety strap. I hung my bino's and pulled my bow up the tree. Hung my bow and took off the quiver and hunt it up too. Nocked and arrow and when I turned around I saw a deers butt at 19 yards. Reached in my pocket to get my release and the deer walked forward and saw it was a nice buck. Grabbed my bow off the hook and when he stopped at 20 yards quartering away I let one fly. I could see it was a good hit but I like to wait an hour anyway. Went home and got my trailer and came back and started trailing. Blood after 5 yards. Tall grass, ferns, bad eyes, after about 75 yards I got a little nervous. It's fairly thick and I am standing at two drops of blood. After about thirty seconds of looking for more blood I look to my left and he's laying 6 yards away.
My best Florida buck. 8pt probably score around 115-118.
