Fall has come to the mountains here, and as is usually the case when fall comes, I am filled with a sense of restlessness. My mind wanders to the wild turkey, hammer guns and hunting dogs. I can smell the pungent odors of the forest floor and fauna, and the scent of apples fallen from the trees in an overgrown orchard, attracting all sorts of wildlife. It is with anticipation I expect the sudden heart stopping flush of the grouse, and my longtime companion Jessie barking excitedly at the flush, whether it be a grouse or turkey she still barks, jumping into the air, her stub tail wagging in her joy. Soon she returns and we sit in anticipation, enjoying a wonderful day in the field.....
As you can tell, I am easily distracted this time of year, but I did manage to get a few calls done,

Thanks for looking, Dave
