Another Box from the McKamey Shop
« on: September 22, 2010, 09:12:58 PM »
Got in my third jmck box the other day and they just keep getting better...This one is the Canarywood lid over butternut.I know I love butternut on a box but wasn't sure how the Canarywood would run in place of my usual choice of walnut..Well I was pleasantly surprised...Has a great tone...May be because the UPS man delivered it while I was gone and it sat at my back gate for 5 days in the weather before I found it... :-\ Withstood the elements like a champ thanks to a great wrapping job by Jeff.... :D Gonna add a little soundfile and hope I don't mess up too bad...Thanks again Jeff for another great box and start pondering over what my next combo might be.... *gobble*

Garrett---glad ya like it man *up*.
Let me tell ya'll a little more of the story behind the shipping. I sent the call out and ole Garrett called a few days later. I told him it was on the way. He called another couple of days later and I got the tracking number and looked. I called him back and told him UPS records showed it was delivered. The UPS driver is scarred of dogs apperentlly, so he took the box AOROUND back of his house outside the fence and found a centerblock to set it on. No notice in the mailbox or anywhere. We got to looking and trying to figure what may have happened to it when Garrett was in the back yard, and one of his dogs were  barking at something outside of the fence---this got his attention and he saw something outside of the fence on the block. He went over there and low and behold there it was. It had been there 5 or 6 days--luckily it had not rained !!!!
We got lucky ya founf it bud !!!
Hope ya like it and thanks for the kind words. Hope it rolls a bunch for you man !!!
Also---like the arrowheads man !!!!!

Oh yeah---as to the Amara King----your just jealous your knee pads arent as fashiionable as the ones Porter got me !!!! *bannana* ROTFLMBO *lol*
