Striker Set from West Augusta
« on: September 20, 2010, 12:41:14 PM »
I have always been fascinated by the work of Steve Torman, aka West Augusta, with his hand made strikers. When my buddy Jim posted a pair of strikers recently I contacted Steve and he agreed to do some for me also. I cannot imagine the hours that goes into making these by hand. I have run them on every surface pot call I have and they sound awesome on all I have tried. They are Black Locust, Persimmon, and wormy Red Oak.Thanks Steve for taking the time to make these for me.

Glad you like them Rickey. Hope they help call in a big one for you.

Shad 309, yes they do have their own sounds that add to the call.

Nice looking pair of strikers there!!!  I always love to see your striker collection.  I'm not sure anyone is close to having as many as you!
