2 friction calls
« on: September 11, 2010, 10:20:49 AM »
Both of these are made of lyptus. One is a 3" slate over glass, the next is a 3.5" ceramic over glass.

That lyptus looks gorgeous.  Love them both, but the ceramic one would be my choice :)

I really like the sound out of the ceramic, pretty nice.

I'm kind of wood dumb, but what is lyptus comparable too?  Sure haven't seen much being used.  I really like the looks of it.

Ceramic is a very good surface IMO..

It is a strawberry colored wood, similiar to bubinga, but lighter in color. Very dense. I suck at taking pictures, but it is a very nice looking wood

I can tell it's gorgeous wood.  I didn't know what it was like.  Thanks Lee  *cheers*

Its a very easy surface to play and provides some really good yelps and cutts. Can get loud or really mellow easily
