Any cane yelper makers out there?

I just got a nice bunch of dried rivercane in the mail this morning and went to work. Well, I've made some good kee-kee'rs but nothing more. I can't seem to get any good sound. It's way to high pitched and like  .

Any hints or tips? I have been working off a wingbone tutorial as I can't find one for rivercane.

Just one man's opinion, but in my mind Del Kruzan makes the finest cane yelpers money can buy..

The first call is one of mine, the following pics are Kruzan calls that another member owns..  I'm sure he doesnt mind showing them off...

Chad, those are sharp! One thing I have noticed in all my searching is that most people use wingbone for the mouthpiece. I wonder if that's my problem?

Shad in talking to folks (I want to try a couple) most try to find goose bone for the last stem,. It is hard to find a cane with the right hole size that works. Although some people do just fine.

Are you saying you want one when I get them figured out?
Do you or anyone here know where to get goose bones? I found a place to get turkey wingbones 6- 2 bone piece sets for $20 shipped.
