Beautiful morning for a walk around the lake! Picture Heavy

I got the chance to head out to a local lake this morning for a short walk. It was a beautiful fall like morning. Man I can't wait for the leaves to start turning  *cheers*

I saw my first buck out of velvet this morning- there was a group of 3 amigos, 1 in velvet & 2 hard bone  RkLu Two small button bucks and a few turkeys - no longbeards  :'(

Danny, I live in central Illinois. There is starting to be a large number of turkeys in the area and not very many hunters. Deer.....man that's another story right there! They grow big off the soybeans & corn but good luck finding someone that will let you hunt without paying $$$.

Great pics as usual Shad. Love that third picture, took me a few seconds to find the fawn. I thought it was a pheasent or something else. Then I saw the eyes. I used to field trial with beagles and that was the way you spotted a rabbit, look for the eyes.
