Turkey call protectors
« on: August 28, 2010, 10:27:52 PM »
This morning when I was out taking photos I kept getting rattles & clanks from my call bag. When I got home I looked around the house to see if anything was laying around that could be useful.

I like to say that I am a frugal person but my wife says I'm just cheap HA!!!
In an effort to save myself and you a few bucks here is what I found- Pringles cans & can huggies (neoprene)

I cleaned out the pringles cans with an air compressor & some alchohol wipes to make sure there wasn't any grease in there and put my box calls in. Every one of them fit except for the ole long tom Gibson that Scott makes and I don't own any fenceposts yet.
Every pot call I own will slip inside a can huggie, even the pedestal pot Scott makes (tight fit).

Now there is no clanking and I feel as if everything is a little more protected anyway. Just thought I would share.
 *cheers*

Ok man this thread is useless without photos  ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO

Sorry I just had to say that and was just joking around.  On another forum that they will harass you until you post photos... I'm not sure if you have the gear to take photos though  *lol*

Now that is a cool idea.  Almost forgot was Pringles were!

Shad...Dragonfly makes the best leather holsters around. If you need something cheaper, Homers upholstery makes some awesome Cordura holsters that are awesome. If you are looking cheaper still he makes fleece bags that are very nice!

M Sharpe, I'm deffinately a cheap donkey!!! You gotta be when your wife has a shoe addiction (her shoe collection is larger than any turkey call collection on this site  *wha*) and I've got 3 kids  ;D

Mike- I think I will give those a look see. I'm sure they look a bit better ;)
