Dadgum, I shoulda thunk better

There are three labs in my house, only one of which hunts. I lost my other hunting dawg back in February. My son comes home from school yesterday "Dad, you want a free 6wk old lab male?".  I not only said no, but there were quite a few expletives in front of that. Well, you guessed it



And to top if off, the little turd hasnt been here even 24 full hours and I had to rush his little butt to the emergency room as he ate a full dish of rat poison. Luckily I saw it rather quickly after he did it and was able to get in the vet in time to keep this from getting too serious

Shoot hydrogen peroxide down his throat next time, till he puke's. Save you a trip to the vet.

Well, there is good news and bad news concerning the poison. The good news is that he didnt eat it. The bad news is my wife's dog DID!!!!! This type of poison is treated with vitamin K to counteract the blood thinner in the poison. So now we get to start her dog on the treatment. And the little mutt is a holy terror. Of course my son gets the dog, drops him off and goes to visit his mother for the weekend, I am already tired of poop, pee and him using me as a chew toy. But dadgummit, I love puppies, they are always enjoyable to watch. And if there is anyone on this earth that doesnt like puppy kisses, vote for Obama again

Moral of the story..............................rat traps! *lol* My dogs love fire ant poison, for some strange reason. I hove one that will chew the bag open to get to it! Got to love puppy kisses.

You havent met this one either, she is just as ruthless as most men I know. Kinda scary when ya think about it. She made the comment that she would like to try hunting. I told her no freakin way!!!!! Thats the only time I can get away from her and not have to talk to her *lol*
