My "NEW" fall turkey gun

Thanks guys, love that old picture Shad!  Dylan, I do have my eye on a couple of Bakers locally, I should have bought that 16 ga. when I first saw it, sweet gun and very tight with no stock issues, pretty rare to find them with no cracked wood around the side locks, and now he has doubled his price. 
I will pattern this later this week, right now I am nursing a sprained wrist from a fall I took on Thursday.  We'll see how this one does and go from there...

Porter, I'll try some various off the shelf loads, as well reloads along the lines of Federal Gold Medal hull, SP12 wad, Hodgdon Longshot Powder, 1 3/8 oz. 4-5 shot and see how she patterns

heck yeah I am going to hunt the pigeon Yankee  ..... not too sure what i should shoot out of it though.

That's a great gun Dave. My grand father gave me his before his passing and I did hunt with it for a bit then put it away. It didn't help much that the day I got shot bird hunting that this was the gun I was carrying and it now has some pellets in the forearm and as for me there's still a few in my head.   Yes this is true.  Bill

We will have to compare pellets someday. I don`t have any in my head, but got quite a few in my forearm (not the gun`s) and ribs.

Nice gun Dave I have one with a vent rib and one with the solid rib 30" full killed a lot of turkeys and geese with these guns. I also have a solid rib 3" and another 3" with two sets of bbls. 30" and 32" they are all shooters.
Mine like Remington 4x6 turkey loads, Super X 4's and 5's. My guns tend to like the larger shot if that helps.

My wife has her Grandpa's Mod. 12 ,,,16 ga. Overall it's in good condition ,,,,'xcept for the bent barrel  . Looks as if someone fell on it ,,,bent right in the middle.

You might find a barrel here  http://www.corsonsbarrels.com/winchesterbarrels.htm you would want it professionally installd by someone who knows how,The M12 barrel has a headspace ring in the chamber that is fit & reamed specific to the barrel & receiver it goes on. In addition, the take-up adjustment sleeve has to be set to the receiver, and a few other things.
