Well many of you now know, ole Mr. McKamey is down in Florida. Well I "thought" it was for a family vacation, but low and behold... I just recently received an email from him. I know there are probably more inside jokes on this forum than any other. I really like to have fun. Well Jeff told me he was a little embarrassed why he was down there and he had to come clean. I figured I might as well come forth on this "lil" inside joke we have going.
Many people do not know that I pulled a prank on ole Jeff during Spring Turkey hunting. I banned him (temporarily) and I said it was for using knee pads and a few other items
... we had a great laugh over it. Al was giving him some heck and so I just added on to it. That day though... he shared a secret with me. He said his go to trick was to slip on some tie dye knee pads and the birds would just run to him.
Well Jeff has found a store in Florida that specializes in tie dye clothing... Needless to say, I think he's went a bit overboard. Here's a few of the items he says he purchased today...
Jeff said to start out the outfit you need some good socks...
This is the shirt he said would be the bomb....
Then you have to get your gear in and out.. so he picked up several backpacks to help him out...
I just hope he doesn't figure out a way to tie dye his callers... I told him I'm not sure that would be much of a success with a lot of hunters... but what do I know.. maybe Tie Dye isn't a fad of the 60's anymore...
