 Due to some things I heard recently, I feel I need to speak up about my callmaking. Seems I've been accused of entering calls in the competitions that I didn't build. Said Dad built them and I entered them. Not sure why anyone said this but I want to set it straight for the record. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, I don't have to, you know who you are. I've been homeschooled for the last 5 years. I started from day one with Dad in the shop. Done my schoolwork at night. We've worked together pretty much 6 days a week for three years. We've learned together. I don't build many calls by myself, I don't have time. lol. I help with SS calls every day except Sunday. I have jobs I do and Dad has jobs he does. We've both settled on certain jobs we do each day. Right now I only build scratchboxes for sale, but I do build box calls for competitions, and they are built 100% by me, not Dad! Why wouldn't I be able to build my own calls? I've been in the shop every day that Dad has. Well, hope this isn't taken wrong. I just felt I needed to set the record straight about the false rumors being spread about me.

Hang in there buddy! Envy is a terrible thing..it not only effects the envious but those they envy! Let it eat at the envious....you keep making those great calls!  *up* *up* *up* *up* *up*

You are doing well Josh, people are cruel without cause! Just as long as you can face that young man in the mirror it doesn't matter what other believe. I know it hurts and your name is important but you cannot control (as much as you would like) what others believe! It does hurt though. Keep your head high!

I know you hear the rumors, however try not to pay any attention to them.  Most of the time they are spread by jealous, stupid people.  What they say is worth  *poo*.
You've been a good student under the watchful eye of your dad and you have come a long way in the callmaking world.  Keep at it and keep your head high!!  *cheers*

You build great calls little buddy!  Don't let anyone get you down or try and take away from what you've accomplished!

Have to say I only own one scratch box and haven't picked it up in years. But, seing your calls makes me wanna buy one!!!

I agree Scotty!!!! And if it came from someone on this site....they should be gone!!! MY OPINION ON IT !!!!!!!!!!!

Josh, keep your head up high..some folks just aren't happy unless they are creating drama in the callmaking world...they thrive on negative attention...probably stems from their Childhood. ;D

Josh I know good and well what you are capable of building.  I figure I'm one of the few that knows what you just built about a week ago and got to hear it. 

I've known you and your dad for years now and I know each day you guys bust your rear ends in the shop.  I can be on the phone with him for hours and hear all the equipment still churning away.  I still remember the call you built for Mark Rainbolt.  Seems like yesterday, but sure it's been years now.

I remember last year how hard your dad said he was going to have to try and beat you :) 

Jealousy can make a man do really funny things!  I've seen it more than once happen.

Keep your head up and keep rocking and rolling.  Some day, you'll be the one to carry on the name and hopefully, you'll get your children involved too!

I   talked   with  yer   dad   the   other   day   and  if   you  are   anythin  like   him  you  a   good  fella  in   my   mind...try   not   to  let   others  get   you   down   and   keep   up   the  great  job...

Josh, every where you go or whatever you do there are going to be those who strike out with vicious rumors. Don't let them get you down. I know it had to feel good to get that load off. Those are the kind of things that can really eat on a man. But like Bulldogmikey said, just satisfy the man in the mirror. If you satisfy him, who cares about what others think.
