Raising kids
« on: July 15, 2010, 09:36:27 PM »
Every night I share my intrests with my children. We always look at the neat calls and read funny stories. This site is the next best thing to getting them in the woods with me. As I'm typing I have my 4 month old daughter in my arms drinking her bottle.

Think I'm gonna have 3 turkey crazy kids. 3 more to help me drive Momma crazy  *dance*

I'm the same way.  I hope to get my son involved.  My son helps me drive my wife crazy already :)  He has his own callers and he gets his out and plays along side me!

Enjoy it while it last! I don't have any kids. I do have four nephews. As they became old enough, I would take them hunting. One by one they discovered girls........ ;D

Now I'm back to myself.

You are right. All of them still hunt.
Take lots of pictures of them hunting. Every time we get together and talk about hunting, it's "Uncle Mark, you remember the time......."
Yea, I remember every one of them.

Yea, Sringfields not very far.
I have a new challenge now.
My wife likes to hunt and fish.....
Talk about rolling some eyes  ::) and shaking some head. Try getting ahead of a gobbler and having to give wide berth to every spider web in the woods ::) and constantly on the look out for snakes.
I don't have a call collection any more....we have one.
But at least she doesn't complain about my hunting. *dance*

Craig, I'm right there with you! My 4 month hold holds the striker and I move the pot around for her. She giggles and smiles with every squawk & squeek. I got my son his first call this year for his birthday. Picked up one of those kits and we put it together. He wants to take it everywhere. My oldest daughter loves the outdoors, hates bugs, wouldnt pull the trigger if a bear was running her down, and wont take a fish of the hook LOL

Sounds like she's going to be a hunter for sure. That's what it's all about. We do need to get together. I need to come rumage through those calls you been making.
