I will try

Will never forget it..........
That morning I planned on getting up at 4:30am and heading out into the woods. When I woke up at 5:30am all I could think was I would not be catching any turkeys today. I got up anyway, made some coffee and fed the dog & cats and headed towards the honey hole.
When I got there, it was about 6:30am and I didn't waste any time by starting to call for turkeys as I shut the car door. After about 5 minutes of not hearing anything but the stinking crows, I headed across the field to an old ceder thicket.
I sat down under a nice tree and made a few yelps- WHAMO! One gobbled back at me so I called back. He hammered down a few times and then the woods opened up! I had at least 5 gobblers yelling at me and I was right in the middle- perfect spot! After about what felt like an hour of deafening gobbling and my heart about to pound out of my chest the woods went still and quiet. Off to my right a turkey went running and I thought, crap- he saw me and it's all over. But just then I looked towards the end of the clearing and here comes two gobblers all fanned out and ready to find their girl. What a sight!
Man I love being in the woods!!!
