... I've never seen Teak used on a Short Box - have seen it used on Turpins & Gibsons - how does the combo sound Al ??

That's a beauty Al!!  I thought you were done with bloodwood, or was this one done before?
(From the surgeon general for your own safety,,, You will need an epi pen if you keep pushing it with the bloodwood,,Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction marked by swelling of the throat or tongue, hives, and trouble breathing. When it strikes, life is at risk. )

 Jim, this is the first teak shortbox I've built. It sounds real good, I was surprised to  be honest. Just something I wanted to try. I'm gonna try some different woods for paddles also.

 Dave, thanks for the concern friend. I thought I was done with bloodwood too.. LOL, and probably will stop using it. It does cause some discomfort in my throat and makes it a little hard to swallow.. So guess it's not worth it to push the issue.. Got one to finish today, and I'll decide for sure what I'll do. Josh had sort of the same problem the first time we used it. Sure don't want to put him at risk!!

Great looking call Al.   Take Dave's advice with the wood bud.   Josh has probably my one and only call from zebrawood.   If I build another I'm gonna have to purchase a Hazmat suit.
