I will finish tuning these two Gator Gobbling Stribling style boxes, and then I will send them down the river from Greenville, Ms. to another river rat at Natchez, Ms. --- About a month ago I was looking for some new mahogany since I had used up all could get out of a friend of mines front door. -- A young turkey hunter in Natchez came to my rescue and offered some mahogany for a few calls. He said that it was not just your #1 & #2 common furniture grade mahogany, but some FAS that his grandfater had hand picked in Beliz, Honduras for his lumber business there in Natchez. His business is an old lumber company, J.M. Jones Lumber Co. on the banks of the Mighty Ms. River. You can tell from my poor pictures that this is some fine mahogany. It was well worth my drive to Natchez that particular Sat. and I hope that Lee enjoys this pair with some beautiful cherry icing that has a lot of character as well. Both are tuned raspy hen right, old gobbler left, and a great mature gobble.
