Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the kind words. The call plays easy and sounds like a turkey and that's what's most important to me. I think I'm gonna try a piece of Striped Ebony next, but I'm gonna wait till I get my roughing gouge in cause going from square to round with a 3/8" spindle gouge is no fun! ;D

Mike, keep an eye on e-bay for turning tools, I got some Benjamin's Best and old Buck tools on there very reasonably priced, and both have pretty good steel, Shopsmith and older Craftsman tools were pretty good steel as well. My 3/4 gouge is a Benjamin's Best, they do require sharpening but work well.

I found MKW #4 in Kingwood / Buffalo Horn in the ol' MM yesterday - Mike did a slight mod' to the ferrule on #4 & it sure looks, plays, & sounds great ... 8) 8) 8)

... can't thank you enough Mike for takin' the time for me; was sure a pleasure talkin' with you - killer caller for sure !!!
