A friend of mine in SC gave me some Osage when I was there hunting this year. Even though Osage is not my favorite wood aesthetically, I took it and agreed to try to turn a trumpet out of it. I think it turned out really nice and it's only fitting that I give it to him. I'll probably turn myself one from it when I get around to it. Osage is really nice to turn and seems to have great tonal quality. I'm sure most of y'all know this, but it was my first experience with it. In hind sight, I wish I had waited to get in some more buffalo horn for the mouthpiece, but the guy that's getting it will hunt with it and don't really care what it's made out of, as long as it sounds good.
