My Boys Pa Gobbler

Heres a Picture of my Boys Gobbler he shot Yesterday. We was watching him for weeks,but every morning he had a Hen or hens with him. I told my boy sooner or later he wont. Yesterday he didnt...and it was the first day I didnt hunt...darn!! Wish Id have been with him!! He Called him in with a Box Call I made and finished him with a Mouth Call before pounding Number 5s down his throat. He had a 10 inch Beard and 1 inch spur and a 1 1/8th spur. He was heavy but I didnt weigh him.Im guessing 20 lbs.  We have had a great Season this Year..I have had 3 long beards in and Missed two...lol Needless to say...I had Lasik Surgery this week and Im hoping I will be on. Im seeing a lot of single Toms..To bad for them..lol

Mike,

Congrats to your son. Don't you love it when they are successful in the turkey woods?? I get such a thrill whenever my son takes a nice gobbler.

I just was joking him the night before..I asked him if he could Kill a Gob without his Dad...lol..guess he can...It put the spark back in his hunting for sure.

Lasik is amazing..less than 24 hours and my post op exam has me at 20/20 and it will improve over a few weeks..Im hoping for 20/15..or better yet...night vision too...lol ROTFLMBO
