Osage and Ironwood
« on: May 17, 2010, 10:16:03 AM »
Been locked in the shop lately,(hunting a little) but mostly in the shop. Here are a few calls going out hopefully in time to make some memories this spring. How time does fly especially when you're working! I am shutting down this Wednesday for a few days to go to New York and hunt a monster bird, hopefully he won't get his hooks in me before I can shoot, he is very canny and mean,we call him Shredder. I think he is Two Toes kin, a real nightmare. I have some good loads worked up for the Old Lefever, silver alloy just in case,,lol, and it will take nerves of steel to face down this mighty bird. Thanks for looking and wish me luck...  ;) Dave

Here is an Osage Trumpet with a touch of sapwood on the bell, Water Buffalo Horn, complete with Waterproof Case

Another nicely figured Desert Ironwood and Warthog Tusk Ivory

Wow man... the more I look at those the more I like them!!!  I bet I know where the Osage one is going  *peep*

Mr. No Nets said it wouldn't be fair if he got his first, so you should put a delay in shipping his :)

I cannot wait to get mine and that case is awesome too!

Thanks for building this one for me!

Thanks for the nice comment, I appreciate them! These cases are great for the traveling hunter,to protect your valuable calls. They are powder coated aluminum, screw cap with an o-ring seal to keep everything dry and safe from damage, I make these up every so often and they are available for $25 when I have them, turnaround is about two weeks if I am out.

that sounds like a bit of an upgrade from the (pipe) insulation foam and duct tape i've been using.
