Thanks for the feedback everyone,I appreciate it. I enjoy making this type of call and believe them to be a great call in the field. Feedback, especially from guys using them in the field is valuable to me, and most of the changes I have made to my calls are a result of applying those suggestions.

Thanks a Bunch Dave. I received the Desert Ironwood trumpet from Dave Hodgkins yesterday in the mail. It will Talk Turkey all day long and is made to be taken to the turkey woods. He did a great job in making this caller for me and the fit and finish is excellant. The range of turkey talk that I get is very good up and down the scale. The call draws air nicely and you don't have to struggle to pull air thru the mouthpiece which is made of Buffalo Horn. Some of you that are looking for a very well-made trumpet call to add to your arsenal would enjoy getting Dave to make you one of his new design trumpets for you. I have about 8 days left in my turkey season here in Virginia so it will be going hunting with me.
