The Wonders of Creation
« on: May 04, 2010, 12:05:32 PM »
Just thought I would post up a few pictures of my morning to share with those who weren't able to be there, I did manage to remember the camera today.  I encountered this little newt in the woods this morning, luckily I didn't step on it... something about it reminded me of my youth, when this would have been brought home, observed in a terrarium environment,( mason jar with some wet moss or small aquarium), after which, if it survived.. would be eventually released back into the wild. Fortunately, my mother always knew best when that time was appropriate.....
Had I been the creature I was trying to imitate prior to this encounter, I doubt that it would have been any less studied, marveled at with a sense of wonder and knowing, or summarily eaten for a protein rich breakfast. I was satisfied however with merely studying, marveling and photographing...hungry though I was... ;D

This fellow came along to critique my skills with the trumpet, he gave me a thumbs up and went back to foraging, lol, perhaps he thought I had a meal for him

Very, very cool! God's Creation is indeed a wonder! Sometimes all we need to do is slow down and look! Thanks Dave, Wonderful Pictures!

Couldn't agree more. Last fall me and my 6 year old daughter came across some of these in Calif, they had a yellowish and purple color. We sat down to admire it and found the area was crawling with them. We forgot about the turkeys and just enjoyed watching them. Thanks Dave for the post

No respect should be given to a man who does not honor his word. He is just an adolescent who's acorns haven't dropped yet.

Those who stir the S**T pot should have to lick the spoon.
