Runnin and Gunnin

"Runnin & Gunnin", Someone ask me on the phone recently what that term meant in Turkey Hunting Lingo, To be totally honest I only knew because of my deer hunting days and a couple of buddies and I used it quite successfully. But I told them if they needed more than I gave them to look in Websters Dictionary and search for "Turkey Hunting Runnin and Gunnin" and they would see Jeff McKamey and his picture and story would tell it all. (Jeff is gonna kill me)  * hi * *peep* *peep*
If you have never heard some of his Turkey stories you are missing it friends! The man is a machine!

Yep-the real story on that tree was that I was in a flat out sprint---(ya'll know I was a 10.3 sec 100 yd dash man in my day---I can still make that speed when I hear a gobble by the way >>>> ) and in my excitement to shoot the bird I was closing in on....I forgot to stop and take aim. Heck---I always saw John Wayne shoot on the move, so if he can----I CAN !!!!
Next time I learned to STOP and TAKE STANDING/STEADY AIM before I PULL THE TRIGGER !!!!
