Nebraska bird down
« on: April 22, 2010, 12:34:38 AM »
Here's a few pictures from the Pine Ridge area of NW Nebraska. Ended up tagging this bird yesterday morning around 7 am. The birds were hammering hard before daylight............about 150 yards on another property. We made a few calls after sunrise and about 45 minutes later 12 birds cross the fence 180 degrees to where I expected. I got spun around and this Tom was working a hen pretty hard trying to get her away from the group. We made a few clucks and purrs and brought the hen to about 10 yards bringing the Tom closer to us, she got a little nervous and started putting and I let the 835 bark. Awesome hunt on a great day in a great place. Thanks for the look!
