Spilt milk

I really screwed this one up today! I had a bird hammerin it about 40yds away from me this morning just on the other side of some thick stuff in a swamp bottom. It was just thick enough to where I couldnt see him. I heard him spittin' and drummin', he was so close!!! About thirty minutes into the stand-off, another bird was bringing up the rear from about 7 miles away ;D He actually made it to me in a matter of 10-15 mnutes, and made me change gears. I stood up  and got back in the burned area only to see him running in and out the pines. Well, the stand-off started with him also. About an hour into it, I decided to crawl a littl closer. As soon as I made a noise he would gobble. So, I just sat there and watched hm out in the smoke filled pines, strutting back and forth. He finally gave me a shot I was comfortable with, and I strait up missed!!!!!!! *cry* Its hard enough on me with these PLB's I hunt, but when I miss like today, it kills me inside!!!! I told my wife over the phone and she just made it worse *wha* ;D Wish I had some pics for y'all.

No respect should be given to a man who does not honor his word. He is just an adolescent who's acorns haven't dropped yet.

Those who stir the S**T pot should have to lick the spoon.

Maybe this is the season of misses?  Keep your chin up.  I just did it last week.  I hadn't missed one in almost 8 years.  Guess we need some reminders now and then!
