This is some African wood but I don't know exactly what it is. It looks like walnut to me but 10 times harder. I used Aluminum/glass. The sound is certainly there. You could call the tom in and then throw this call at him and it will kill him.  ROTFLMBO

The striker is some laminate that I turned as well. I make them different but this design is what I stick with. Unless it is requested this is how I make them.

To give you an idea how hard this is...... If I threw this at my wall in the house, I would be patching a hole. I had to sharpen my tools 4 times before I got done with it. It took a while to.
