Just got this call before our season opening day. Old Growth Redwood pot and Striker, This call is a slate over two sound boards and a work of Art and a for sure turkey killer.
Dave does a great Job on his Calls and Strikers ,the wood is a really cool piece .... tons of figure.  I'll let Dave explain the part of the construction ,all I know it's a awesome piece that will stay in the vault (after season) Thanks Dave

This is the third pot I've built with this new design. This call is the last of my lake salvaged old growth redwood. Call has a slate striking surface, sound boards are glass over aluminum. I sent the first call (walnut pot) to Lou and then over to Phil for there opinions on the sound. Lou wanted a little higher pitch so I did a little tweaking to the sound boards. I forgot to take pictures of this call before it went out  *cry* Here's a pic of the call before the last coats of finish were applied.

That's some nice wood.  How did the tweaking work out Dave?

I think it's been resolved Lou. Got two Koa pots in the works with same design but glass striking surface and elk burr sound boards.

Thanks Dave, I'll figure out this photo stuff hopefully soon  ROTFLMBO. Even this picture doesn't do this call justice...... This piece of wood is Awesome , I love "Old Growth" wood and Dave's twin sound board design blends well to give it the great sound that the birds will go crazy for. It's going from the vault to the field and back after this season is over. Thanks again Dave for building a Killer call.
