Getting them "interested" is easy, they respond and get me excited...getting them "committed" they respond and gets them dead! (most of the time). Seriously. when I get them coming toward me or circling is getting close. When they blow up in full strut and keep coming I usually didn't loose them if I decided it was a keeper!

Usually I'm pretty confident when I can hear the drumming and spitting!  Then it's game on.  Cannot remember a bird that I haven't harvested when I could hear them drumming!

When I see the full fan and hear the spitting and drumming if he is alone then I know he has committed.  Sometimes I get his girlfriend interested for a look and he follows.  Then Game over!

These are the two scenario's that come to my mind.  Zips, Looking forward to your thoughts!

You can never be sure of anything dealing w/ a gobbler......

I have noticed, that when a gobbler starts cutting into my calling with a gobble, he's usually on his way...

The other item, I've notice is when a gobbler is hammering your calls and then suddenly goes quiet......Better be on the look out for him.... He's coming or he left.....
