Pumped for turkey hunting?? I took a couple of hours this afternoon to run up to a mill where I get some of my wood, of course my son and I had our cameras along. I got talking to Bob, the owner of the mill, and he said he had seen some deer and turkeys in the evenings in the field. I asked if he would mind if we tried setting up to get a little video, and he says go for it. So I drove down and we skirted a large field and set up near where an old tote road comes into the field, thinking the turkeys would take the easy route. After all, we had just gone down through a steep gully and up over the other side, typical Vermont going, seems everywhere is straight up or down, lol. We had just settled in and soon we could hear a hen yelping, and got the cameras on and ready. Sure enough, soon I can see the hen coming, then two more followed by four jakes. They came out of the field right into the woods where we were, and we got some nice footage, even though we didn't have the most ideal spot. My son didn't have a face mask, but tried to keep hidden behind the video camera as much as possible. It probably wouldn't have worked so well with more experienced birds, but it was a fun little outing!

BUSTED!!! LOL
