NEW Patterns Hevi 13 3.5" #7's
« on: March 20, 2010, 01:52:13 PM »
I just shot these about 1 hour ago.  I shot the Supernova with the Indian Creek .665 at a taped 40 yards.  To say i'm pleased is a BIG understatement.......... These are the new Hevi-13 3.5" #7's  ;D

Wow...  Now how did those compare to what you used to shoot.  If memory serves me right, you shot the 6's?

I use to shoot the Hevi-13 3", 2oz, #6's  I was getting 190 in the 10" with them.

I still don't get the point of seeing how many pellets you can put in a circle but that's just me. You'd have just as dead of a turkey with half that many pellets in the head. How many of you guys that put up patterns like this take shots longer than 40yds? I'm just wondering because to me, increasing range would be the only reason to strive for these type of numbers. I'd hate to hit low, you'd be having hevi shot soup.

Dude!! I realize I'm a little late on your post, but those are great numbers. I sure wish our local Bass Pro had those #7's.

Cool pattern Tim.....you're ready to hunt.  *up*

Dissect one of those shells Tim.  *wha*

I am genuinely curious to know if the shell actually contains mostly number 7 shot or a bunch of smaller than number 7 shot. *peep*

This is the only way to know if your pattern efficiency at 40 yards is really accurate.  *cheers*
