Hevi-13 #7's!!!

They look to be the Real Deal, May buy a few boxes before they change the recipe, Like they did with a few other loads that shot good!!!

I agree 100%.My buddy shot his Mossy 835 with a Tru Glo SSX .670 today with the heavy 13 #7's.He got 351 in 10" circle.This was at 40 yards taped,stepped off and lasered.We could not believe the #'s so we did it all three ways just to make sure it was 40.He just shot one time so I have no way to get a average but we were very pleased with this result.

I've yet to shoot them out of my 20.  I'm hoping for good results.  If not, I still have a bunch of the old 6's left

Porter we tried them out of a Benelli Nova 20 with a PG .555. We got 168 and 154 in a 10" circle at 40 yards.We have a few boxes of Fed HW #7's on order,should be able to try them later on in the week.

My Rem loves the Federal HW #7s.  RemChoke and consistently putting 180 to 200 in the 10.  That's out of an 18.5" barrel Rem JR.  The Hevi #7's will be shot out of my 870 Express.  I'm trying a .555 and .560 IC choke.  We'll see how it does!

Just got in from shooting the my CZ-Ringneck in 20ga with a Trulock .581 flush mounted choke.I shot Hevi-13 #7's at 40 lasered yards put 155 in 10" circle.Hope to try the Feds later this week.

Buddy shot a Fed HW #7 thru the Benelli in the earlier post.He got 178 in 10" circle.He just got to shoot one, the UPS truck ran later then usual.Hopefully if the weather holds out another day I'll get to try them thru my Trulock tomarrow.This may help some with decisions on chokes since shots will be thru a.555 and a .581.Quite a bit of difference in constrictions.

Well just got in from shooting the Trulock .581.With the Fed HW #7's had 156 and 148 in 10" circle.Shot another Hevi-13 #7 and had 168 in the circle.I was surprised by how close the different shells shot number wise.I would have expected the Fed to out shoot the Hevi but this was not the case.One thing to note is the Fed had a more recoil then the Hevi.This was somewhat expected due the higher velocity and payload.All things considered I'll probably go with the Hevi-13 due to price and the fact they shoot as well if not better in my gun.We have a .575 Carlsons Extended Non-ported choke  on order for the Benelli should get it later this week,I'll try to give a report on it as soon as we get it shot.From what we've found so far these shells both brands seem to shoot well thru a open or tight choke.IMO this is good news for the guy who doesn't want to spend a bunch of money on chokes, either of these shells should give satisfactory results in a standard full choked barrel.I would venture that they would still put over the magic 100 pellets in a 10" circle with a gun so choked.Hope this helps someone.Thanks Todd

The Carlsons choke for the Benelli came in yesterday and we got to put a few shots down range.It was less than perfect weather,rain and cooler temps,but ya got to shoot when ya can.We tried the Fed HW #6 first and got 121 and 123 at 40.We felt pretty good with those #'s out of 6's.Then we went to the Fed HW # 7 those #'s were 178 and 171.Finally we shot the Hevi-13 #7's and put 162 and 156.From our findings at least in this gun there's not alot of difference in numbers between the .555 and the .575 with the 7 shot in either brand.We did shoot a HW #6 earlier on with the .555 and only got around 105 with it.I feel that it was over choked as the pattern was somewhat blown.So if #6's were a persons choice I say go with the more open choke. Once again I hope some of this helps someone along the way.Thanks Todd
