No need to let it get under your skin, just a difference of opinions. As far as keeping opinions to yourself I think that's the worst thing you can do. No one should be silent just because they have a difference of opinion. It's okay to disagree as long as your not personally attacking someone and I didn't see any of that in this thread.

tra_cline- I still use lead #4's and have no problem killing turkeys out to 40yds so i don't see any reason to use anything else :)

You might not see a need to use anything else,  all of the Public Land around me requires HTL shot only.  Great hunting opportunities on this land.  I'm not about to break a game law, so I've converted all my guns to HTL.  I bounce back and forth between Private land and Public. At first it was introduced in the waterfowl zone areas and now it's seems to be statewide...  Poisoning of waterfowl is what we were told  *cry*

Slingshot baby... it's all about the slingshot  ROTFLMBO and loincloth... that's how I'm hunting this year!

Thanks for posting tra_cline.  I might have to pick me one up as a gift for a member  *up*

I'd certainly use HTL shot if the law required.

Porter, first you'll have to call one into range of your slingshot with
your turnip call. Here I was thinking you couldn't spell and were
talking about a Turpin style call and all along you
were planning on hunting cave man style by calling one up with
a turnip and shooting it with your slingshot. You're hardcore.

It's a good thing his phone died before he posted what he really was going to post.  I think I might have even blushed on that one  :o  This is a really rough crowd around here.  One single typo and look what it gets me... some turnip skips!

Well, at least it isn't a tame turkey!!  I saw guy shoot a tame one one morning and check it in. The old fellow who ran the checking station tried to tell the hunter it was a tame bird...........he would have nothing of that......and to top it off,...........he was going to have it mounted!!   ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO *aah* *aah* *aah*

I was at the check-in station one day when a fella tried to check in a canada goose. The check-in guy told him he would just turn his back and act like he never came in! Old guy went running out the door with that goose> Who knows what happened to it? Probably dumped it and prayed noone recognized him,LOL!!

I hear Ol Porter hunts out of one of them, he plans on calling a bird in with one of his new turnip calls and then when it gets close he's gonna jump out dressed in his loincloth and scare the birds to death.
