Wormy Ambrosia Maple Slate Caller
« on: February 27, 2010, 05:15:22 PM »
Here is a picture of my new Slate caller. I got it at the convention in Nashville. It was made by Al and Josh Shoemaker of SS custom Calls. I think the name of the wood is Wormy Ambrosia Maple Slate over glass with a Hickory Two Peice Striker. The wood is awesome on this caller. Plus it has a great sound to it. Al matched it with a striker that made it sound just like I like. Thanks for looking. See ya, Mike

Very nice!!  Great caller from two of the best!!

One thing though, I don't think those are worm holes, that is what happens when Al tries to run the drill press without Josh there to supervise!!!
