New member and a few calls from Nashville
« on: February 23, 2010, 12:05:36 PM »
One of the members here told me about this board last week.  I just wanted to say hello and say this looks like another great place to spend some time.  I have been a turkey hunter for 18 years, but I have just gotten the custom call bug in the last couple of years.   I made the mistake of going to Nashville last weekend with some money in my pocket.  Needless to say, I didnt come home with any money, but I did pick up some great calls. ;D

This is what I came home with:

Harwell Butternut and Black Walnut.  Great sounding call.  It was tough to pick just one call from him.

Mann Black Walnut and Yellow Poplar.

Buckner Crow call and Rick Powell owl hooter.   Both of these are as realistic sounding as they come.

I also picked up pot calls from David Halloran, Lonzo, and Derby City.  I will try to post some pics of those later.
As you can see I have a sickness.  Can anyone help me?  ;D

WQelcome to the roost. I am afraid to tell you that there is no help for you once you are a call collector. Just try to pace yourself , and remember it is always best to hide new calls in the garage a few days until you can sneak them in past the wife. LOL!!!!!

Great calls, those are some good ones. Love the Mann box.

You got some great calls from some great callmakers.  I'll warn you... it's hard to stop :)

Welcome aboard and you'll soon see the addiction of buying calls is as strong as the desire to get out in the woods!!!!

... that's four choice callers right there - great pick each & every one of 'em ... 8) 8) 8) 8)

As far as "the sickness", or as some call it "our little problem" ... ::)
... nope, there is no known cure - once you've got it, you're done - usually just gets worse & worse ... ;)
