Here's the last item I picked up at Nashville.  An Osage/Walnut short box from Charlie.  Charlie, in a rush to see if the paddle would work, forgot to checker this call on the paddle.  I didn't think he was going to let me have it  ROTFLMBO

I'm glad he did.  Pictures do not do this Walnut any justice. 

I love the call.  It has a high start and rolls over great.  Charlie told me I was just out right weird on the sounds I like :)

This is the 4th short box I have from Charlie now.

I played that call in Nashville.  Ya the call looks even better in person. And sounds great too. Charlie is a super nice guy. He makes a fine box call. Hope to add one to my turkey vest soon. See Ya, Mike

... I think that Walnut lid looks just fine the way it is - really dresses up the Osage well ... ::)

It might have been because I had that one triple bubble wrapped so I wouldn't break it or drop it.  I even barely ran it there at the convention.  I didn't even let Daryl see it in person  ROTFLMBO
