Charlie Parrish longbox
« on: February 23, 2010, 06:13:27 AM »
Here's one of the few calls I was able to pick up at Nashville from ole Charlie.

It's a cypress/cedar longbox.  Never had seen nor heard one of Charlies longboxes.  They are definitely a good buy.  It's a different design than any I had and it will definitely see some work come this Spring!

Thanks Charlie for building me a great sounding longbox!

Looks awesome! If Mr. Parrish builds it you know it's going to be very good. Wish I could play it.

I think that is the one that Charlie almost droped from 2 feet off the ground. I slow it down so it did not brake. Another awesome call. See ya, NC

It plays really good and it is a deeper nazley sound.  It's a different design than I'm used too and I'm still learning the ins and out.   Of course this is my first long box with a cedar lid and only 2nd long box with Cypress.  I'm not sure how his others play.
