I talked to Bill that other day. They are supposed to run some 20ga chokes next week. He said he would keep me informed of the progress. I believe that the Rem SF choke will be beaten as soon as other premium choke companies concentrate on building a choke for this shell. I'd probably not buy any more Nitros if I could get a good consistant, even 145 at 40. I suspect that won't be a problem and I'm hoping for better. I really like the idea of a harder hitting #7. After shooting literally hundreds of 20ga turkey loads, I have come to realize that you don't need super dense patterns for killing turkeys inside 40yrds.

I know Bill wants them ran and I keep calling to let them know I want one!! Figured showing demand and maybe a supply will come out

I probably know more inside on the IC side, but I can see the issue both of them are in. First the Federal shells need to make sure they are worthy of spending the funds on building a choke for the shell. It would be terrible if Federal just pulled the plug on them
Even if one of the big manufacturers beats the Rem choke, I'm not sure it will be significantly and at a $10 pop... that choke might be known as the king of the Rem guns for Federal Flight controls.
Those darn flight controls are weird. Some guns like less constriction some like more. Consistency will be the key. At least they are a big step up so far in consistency for me than the Hevi-13's.
And they've shot the best out of my 870 JR than any other shell!
Please keep us posted on the progress. I'll not pester poor Laura that way
