Calls From a Couple of Newbies
« on: February 09, 2010, 06:15:29 PM »
I received these calls from my friend Ted Stubbs last week.  Both calls are in Oak pots.  The first call was made by Ted and is slate/glass and came with a Maple striker.  The second call was made by Dave Longworth and is glass/glass with a Sapele striker.  Both calls have a great two note yelp and will talk the talk.
The glass call is a real screamer, but is easily toned down for close in calling.  The slate will do it all from low to high volume calling.
Ted was very modest about his and Dave's callmaking abilities to say the least.  You guys might be considered newbies but you are well on your way to making a name for yourselves.  Keep an eye out for these guys.
Can't thank you guys enough for these great calls.  *cheers*

I used the pics that Ted sent me.

Lou,

Congrats on the two fine calls and I could not agree with you more. I got a slate pot made by Ted and a glass pot made by Dave last year and they are killers in look and sound. My two pots from them will take a lot of trips with me this spring. I told Ted that he and Dave must be fast learners because they were able to produce calls that sound better than a lot of guys who have been doing it for years. I think they have a pretty good mentor.

Lou I got mine as well and they both do a great job on their calls. I told Dave I'm not giving any more call making tips. ROTFLMBO  Bill
