My ten year old son has always had an interest in my turkey call making, but beyond watching me spin a few calls, he wasn't much interested beyond that. The other day, we went and picked up the longbeard he shot two falls ago at the taxidermist and he has taken a big interest in making calls with me...the extra money he can make by lending a hand seems to have helped a bit too

. We have worked on two trumpets together, with him doing the boring, sanding, finishing and making mouthpieces on my sherline unit. It is great to have him involved. Now, instead of running straight to the computer or the Wii, he wants to spend time in the shop with me making calls. Today, he wants to work on an osage slate call or two with me when he gets off the bus. Definitely makes time in the shop even more enjoyable to have Thundergut Junior on-board
