One of my favorites

I turned on the lathe this morning for the first time in a few weeks, was going through withdrawals, and made the lanyard bead for this little beauty. I had set this one back, wasn't sure if I wanted to sell it or keep it, it is one of my favorites. As it turned out a good friend wanted her, so she is headed on out, I hope she serves you well my friend, and many memories are made! I may have posted this one before, but she is now complete, so this is for the archives,lol.

grasshopper I think you are starting to turn into a perfectionist.  That's a beautiful trumpet there!  I figured it would look nice the way you explained it, but that's some beautiful Texas Ebony!

Tom, I know you hated to see me go from the drill press to the lathe with these, but it sure has made a difference. I made my own reamer and it does a great job of burnishing the internals and keeping them consistent, resulting in much smoother transition.
