That Alaskian has a mid tone, its not a PORTER sound at all(which is ear piercing and loud and proud  ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO). It tends to be more mid tone and has a deeper rollover that has a little rasp to it. Kinda of a clear start with most of the rasp toward the rollover. It sounds good.

Thanks! I have a long box made from AYC with a Red Cedar lid and was just curious what for sound you got out of the short box.

Sorry,I made a mistake. The lid on the AYC box is Cherry.
