My Trumpets (Updated)
« on: January 29, 2010, 12:09:02 PM »
Well, I've had a desire to build myself a trumpet since I first picked one up, so I got a lathe for Christmas and set out to do just that. I have no desire to ever sell any calls, just build them for me and a few friends.
Anyway, I like the look of the one's I ve built, but the sound is not quite where I want it, so I'm still tweaking it a little. I'll get, eventually!
Here are the first three(left to right) that I made. They are made out of Delrin. I like the look of #2 the best. Any feedback is welcomed, good or bad.

If that's your first few on a lathe, I can't wait to see em when you get plenty under your belt. Those are outstanding. I love the design not to fancy and not bulky.

Thanks, y'all. I have never been in front of a lathe till 13 days ago. I really enjoy it. I just went really slow!
